Natural disasters like earthquakes can occur anytime and anywhere. Therefore, preparedness is key to minimizing the impact of such disasters. Understanding this importance, PT Kyokuyo Industrial Indonesia, in collaboration with the Bekasi District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), conducted an earthquake evacuation training on February 24, 2023.
Objectives of the Earthquake Evacuation Training
The training was enthusiastically participated in by all employees with the following goals:
- Enhancing Preparedness: Training employees to be better prepared for earthquakes.
- Understanding Evacuation Procedures: Equipping employees with knowledge of safe and correct evacuation procedures.
- Improving Coordination: Enhancing coordination among employees in emergency situations.
Earthquake Evacuation Training Materials
Employees received various essential materials, including:
- Earthquake Signs: Recognizing the signs of an earthquake that need to be monitored.
- Evacuation Routes: Knowing the safe evacuation routes within the company building.
- Evacuation Techniques: Learning safe and correct evacuation techniques, such as how to take cover under a table and orderly exit the building.
- First Aid: Basic knowledge about first aid for earthquake victims.
Earthquake Evacuation Simulation
After receiving the training materials, employees participated in an earthquake evacuation simulation. This simulation aimed to ensure that employees understand and can correctly apply the evacuation procedures.
